Deer Lake is a lake in central Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. Deer Lake is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna and features a number of walking trails. These trails connect the lake and its surrounding forests and fields to: a boat launch, picnic sites, a playground, washrooms, the Burnaby Art Gallery, Shadbolt Centre for the Arts, Burnaby Village Museum, and Century Gardens, as well as the surrounding community.

On July 10, 2010, Lyle and Marie McCann failed to show up at the airport to pick up their daughter and granddaughter. Their adult children feared they had become lost on their road trip. But then police announced a person of interest in their disappearance. And this began a 6 year winding road through the legal system that isn’t entirely over yet.

On our trip to Australia, we stopped in Taiwan to spend a week with Selina’s family.
2017-09 Alaska Cruise
Our 10 day cruise started in Vancouver in September, 2017. After Alaska, the cruise travelled to San Francisco via Victoria and Astoria, OR. After a couple days in San Francisco, we flew to Seattle for several days. Then, returned to Vancouver via an Amtrak train.
